Anand city is the administrative centre of Anand District in the state of Gujarat.Anand is known as the Milk Capital of India. It became famous for Amul dairy and its Milk revolution. Anand lies between Ahmedabad and Vadodara on the Western Railway.It is just 35kms, from Vadodara.

Champaner: - It is situated at a distance of 47 Kms from Vadodara city. The town of Champaner was subjugated by Sultan Mehmud Begara in 1484 and made it his new capital. Champaner lies at the foot of Pavagadh Fort.
Pavagadh Fort - The hill of Pavagadh rises from Champaner in three stages. The plateau at an altitude of 1471 ft. is known as the Machi Haveli. Pavagadh is 49 Kms. from Vadodara, and is also known as the birthplace of Gujarats famous musician, Baiju, who preceded Tansen.
Dakor - It is situated at a distence of around 90 Kms from both Ahmedabad and Vadodara . Dakor is a temple town sacred to Lord Krishna. His image, said to be the original from Dwarka, was brought here by a devotee and installed in the temple of Ranchodrai. |
