Payyoli Beach - 30 km from the town, India’s sprint queen, P T Usha, hails from this village. Payyoli Beach is a long wide sandy beach; it is ideal for water sports and lounging in the sun throughout the year.
Thali Temple - The temple, built by the Samuthiris, attract devotees in large numbers. The temple also has historical importance. The famed Revathi Pattathanam function was held here during the reign of the Samuthiris. Exponents of different arts used to display their talents in the court of the Samuthiris. The adjoining Samuthiri School was formerly known as the Samuthiris’ Kovilakam.
Dolphin Point - The Dolphin Point is a place near the beach from where you can spot a few dolphins jumping and playing with the sea water. Mornings are just perfect for dolphin sighting.
Kappad Beach - At a distance of 17 km from Kozhikode, is this pristine beach that revels in its historical importance. It was this place where Vasco da Gama, the famous Portuguese sailor set his feet first in the year 1498. A moss covered monument still stands today to narrate the story of the arrival. Beypore - Situated on Chaliyar river, some 10 kms south of Kozhikode is Beypore harbour. The old port is a popular attraction and features a community that has been building vessels for more than one and a half millennia. Lokanarkavu Temple - The Lokanarkavu Bhagavathi Temple is a temple frequently alluded to in the Northern Ballads or the Vadakkanpattu of Kerala. The main deity is Goddess Durga, with two adjacent shrines dedicated to Vishnu and Siva.

- Due to its nearness to sea, the place has a hot and humid climate. Summer starts from March and continues until May. Maximum temperature recorded in the month of May is 36°C and minimum temperature recorded in the month of December is 14°C.
