Anamalai Wildlife Sanctuary: This is situated at an altitude of 1,400 metres in the Western Ghats near Pollachi about 90 Kms from the Coimbatore. The area of the sanctuary is 958 Sq.kms. Various kinds of fauna like tiger, elephant sloth bear, black headed oriole, are to be seen here.
Siruvani Waterfalls And Dam: The waterfalls and the dam are located at a distance of 37Km West of the city. The water of Siruvani is known for its taste. The panoramic view of the dam and the falls are of enchanting beauty.
Kovai Kutralam : Kovai Kutralam is a water falls at Siruvani, 37 km. from Coimbatore is scenically enchanting. Since it is amid thick forest, visitors are not allowed to enter after 5 pm. Siruvani is the source of drinking water supply to Coimbatore.
VOC Park : The Park maintained by Corporation, is dedicated to the memory of VO Chidambaram Pillai, one the Indian stalwarts in the fight for freedom. The Mini Zoo, Children Train, Children Play Equipments, Garden with pre-historic Dinosaurs etc. attracts visitors. |
