Jaldapara - 124kms away from Siliguri, this wild life sanctuary is home to rare one-horned rhino and many other species of animals and birds. With the beautiful river Torsa running through the forest, it is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Siliguri.
Kalijhora - 27 km, is a picnic spot by the side of the Teesta river. It is ideal for fishing.
Surya Sen Park - It is a park in Mahakal Pally (Siliguri), it contains a bust of freedom fighter Surya Sen, children's park and an exhibition on alternative energy in West Bengal (maintained by WBREDA). Well-known Bengali songs can be heard from everywhere and in the evenings fountains are working and the whole park is lit.
Coochbehar - Lying close to Siliguri, Coochbehar was once a princely state. Beautiful palaces, lakes and temples still exist with an old-world charm.
Mahananda Weir - 18 km, is a picnic spot inside the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary.
Madhuban Park - It's about 10 to 12 km from the town center, and on the road that leads to the hill station of Darjeeling. The park hosts animals such as rabbits, deer and peacocks.
